This week’s issue is very straight forward, as someone who has not come down with the flu or any sickness in half a decade, I firmly believe that proper nutrition is key, not a coincidence that doctors even consider food as preventive medicine.

Ingredients That Help Strengthen Immune System
Citrus — grapefruit, oranges, tangerines, lemons, limes, clementines
Cayenne Pepper 🌶️
Red pepper (contains more Vitamin C than citrus!)
Papaya (enzymes and high amounts of Vitamin C)
Broccoli — it’s packed with vitamins A, C, and E
Garlic 🧄
Spinach —rich in vitamin C, packed with numerous antioxidants and beta carotene
Probiotics — kombucha, kimchi
Vitamin D — it’s best to take the supplement as it’s hard to get enough just by eating food
Vitamin E — Found in sunflower seeds and oil, almonds, safflower oil, peanut butter
Kefir
Vitamin B6 — Chickpea, tuna, chicken, salmon
honey — for its antibacterial properties 🍯
Things You Can Do To Strengthen Immune System 💪
Eat a diet high in fruits and vegetables to maintain proper gut health.
Exercise regularly.
Maintain a healthy weight.
If you drink alcohol, drink only in moderation.
Get adequate sleep.
Take steps to avoid infection, such as washing your hands frequently and cooking meats thoroughly.
Try to minimize stress.
